Missing Bunnybell

I met Bunnybell on Christmas Day 2017 when she came with my family to pick me up and bring me to my forever home.
Bunnybell was there in the stroller with Rosy with her Mom Sydne and my new Mom on my first walk in my new neighborhood.
In April Bunnybell met Teddy and we threw her a 10th Gotcha Day party.
She was so happy! And that made us happy because Teddy and I loved Bunnybell !

But this past Saturday Bunnybell made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. That made us all so so sad. We gave lots of extra cuddles to Sydne and tried to lick away her tears.
What gives us some comfort is knowing that Bear, Rosy and Annie were there to welcome Bunnybell to the Bridge.
And we imagine Bunnybell is happy again, in no pain, prancing and dancing and eating lots and lots of treats.
We will forever miss our Bunnybell.

Pool Debacle

Last weekend when my sis Sydne was visiting, she wanted Mom to take a pic of her and Bunnybell in the pool. Teddy and I kept close watch because we were very worried about Bunnybell.

I tried to tell Sydne that she has to be very careful because the raft is slippery.

And then it happened. Poor Bunnybell !

Sydne went back on the raft and when she came over we checked if she was OK. We gave her lots of kisses.
Bunnybell came out of the pool and spent time recuperating from her pool debacle.

Bunnybell's Party

Yesterday we had a belated Gotcha Day Party for our niece Bunnybell. Since Rosy is no longer with us, I was in charge of party planning. I went with Bunny's fave decor and food - black and white polka dots and salmon. I think Rosy would have been proud.

The smoked salmon was absolutely delicious.

Next was the cake. Teddy couldn't even wait until it was cut ! (Not good form Teddy).

The cake was so yum !

After we were done, there was some bits of frosting on the table. So more bad form for Teddy and he hopped onto the table. He said he was just helping clean up..

And then Bunnybell opened her presents. She was a happy girl. I hope she loved her party.

Happy Gotcha Day Bunnybell !

Today is my niece Bunnybell's Gotcha Day ! My human sis Sydne adopted her from a rescue group 11 years ago ! She has aged amazingly well, don't you think? Anyway, I can't wait to see her this weekend....

I will take her on a stroll to Swan Lake. Oh yeah, she will be meeting Teddy for the first time too. I have to make sure he understands that this is not a Bunny we chase! .
Please join me in wishing Bunnybell an awesome Gotcha Day !

Beauty sleep

Yesterday, Bunnybell and I were comfortably catching up on our beauty sleep.

The next thing I know, Titus came into bed and decided he wanted to take a nap.

Thank goodness we have a King size bed. And I don't want to deny Titus extra beauty sleep. He certainly could use it.

Christmas Tree

It's almost Christmas. We finally got our tree. I know it is a bit small, but with Annie not being here, we are going a bit low key with Christmas this year. Actually it is the perfect size for me and Bunnybell. And with a pink poodle on top, I think it is just fab!

Christmas Trees

Mommy got Annie, Bunnybell and I Christmas Tree costumes. She had some sort of vision in her head for a photoshoot by the lake. She picked a pretty spot, but you couldn't see our costumes.
Then she turned us around (why couldnt she just go behind us?) and then you couldn't see all of our faces. So she didn't like that.
Then she had us go to another spot. She wasn't happy with that either. She said the green costumes are blending in with the grass and greenery.
That was it. We said we were leaving. We don't get paid for this you know.

Thanksgiving Meal

For Thanksgiving, Mommy made us turkey legs (ground turkey shaped as a leg!). When we sat down, we were all supposed to first say what we were thankful for. Bunnybell however, could not wait to eat!

Then Bunnybell went after my turkey leg! I protested.

So Annie barked that Bunnybell can sit next to her.

Bunnybell immediately finished her turkey leg, then stepped over Annie onto the table to get Annie's turkey leg! At that point, everyone agreed that Bunnybell could no longer sit at the table.

Once she was gone, Annie and I chatted about all the things we are thankful for. Most of them were the same - Mommy, Daddy, Sydne, Bunnybell, our home, our happy lives. Annie added thanks for her toys and bacon treats. I added thanks for my immense and fab wardrobe.

And then we were ready to eat. What a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Black Dog Day

Today is Black Dog Day .  It is a day to raise awareness of and dispel "Black Dog Syndrome" in shelters. Black dogs are usually the last to get adopted and most often killed regardless of breed. Bunnybell and I think this is absolutely tragic since we, as Black Dogs, think our color is absolutely fab ! But we were both almost victims of Black Dog Syndrome. I as you know was a stray, and Bunnybell rescued at the last minute from a shelter. So the next time you are considering adding a furry member to your family, remember BLACK DOGS ROCK !

Cheeseburger Day

For Cheeseburger Day Annie, Bunnybell and I decided to go to Smashburger in Del Mar to celebrate.

I ordered us a cheeseburger and Fido burger to split.

I walked away for a moment to get a drink of water. The next thing I know, Bunnybell ate the whole FidoBurger!!

So I pulled the cheeseburger in the shade and told Annie she can split it with me.  I let Annie have the Cheeseburger.  I preferred to just have the salad.

Playdoh Day

To celebrate Playdoh Day, I though it would be fun to make a Playdoh Pizza ! So I got my Playdoh and tools together and invited Bunnybell and Annie to join me.

I had to protect my work from Annie cause she kept on wanting to eat it. I kept explaining that it was not real pizza or toppings. But Annie really wanted what she thought was a meatball.
I was finally finished with my beautiful pizza. I even made one pink slice as a way to sign my masterpizza. Bunnybell thought it looked delicious. Annie continued to wonder when we were going to eat it.
