Honoring the Rosies

This Labor Day weekend, I thought it would be appropriate to honor the Rosies. Rosie the Riveter, a cultural icon, was the major symbol of the millions of women who joined the workforce during World War II. The Rosie's "We Can Do It!" sense of determination paved the way for greater gains for women throughout society in the decades ahead. I am so proud of having the name Rosy (don't know why Mommy spelled it wrong). And I said it was ok for Annie to be an honorary Rosie since she works hard with me to help protect our family.
Cheers to the Rosies!

In the Know

Dear world,
It is so hard to keep up with the news lately. So I decided that I would take some time to myself and catch up on my reading. My friends and fans depend on me to be up with the latest gossip and style!

No Kitty

Dear world,
When we go to the pet store, Mommy usually picks something out that Annie and I will both enjoy. But the other day, Annie said that she picked something that everyone in the family would enjoy. She walked Mommy over to the adoption area and showed her a kitty. Mommy asked Annie what she would do with a kitty. Annie said she would chase it all over the house all day and night! So much for getting a kitty.

We miss you Bear

Dear world,
It has been a year since our wonderful Golden brother Bear went over the rainbow bridge. We think he was the most wonderful dog ever. We know that he was also very beloved to so many people and animals around the world. His legacy was to create smiles. He did that live and through social media. We want to honor him today by posting his tribute video from his blog. Be prepared to smile.

Planting

Dear world,
The other day we wanted to do some planting. So Mommy took us to pick out what we wanted to plant. I got poppies and sunflowers and cant wait to see their pretty blooms. Annie was so proud of her choice of a money tree. She read on the box that money does grow on trees. So now she thinks she is going to get rich.

Home Depot

Dear world,
The other day we got to go with Mommy and Daddy to Home Depot.  I find the store interesting since I watch HGTV. But Annie, who prefers to watch SpongeBob, had no idea what Home Depot was. She thought everything was weird until she found comfort in the food smells at the checkout counter.

Poodle Soaps

Dear world,
My package finally arrived. My Poodle soaps ! I showed Annie but she was bummed. She couldn't understand why there weren't any cocker spaniel soaps. I reminded Annie that she hates baths and prefers to be dirty, so Cocker Spaniel soaps don't make sense.

Taste Testers

Dear world,
The other day I saw this on Facebook . I showed it to Annie and she got really excited. A hamburger taste test ! Both of us tried to fill out the survey. But after a few questions it said "Unfortunately, your qualifications didn't match the needs of our current study". We were very disappointed.  I think we did not qualify because we both indicated that we were under 17 years old. Oh Poo!

Sandcastle

The other day when Bunnybell was here, we all took a walk on the beach. We saw the most beautiful sandcastle. I thought it would be the perfect miniature model for my castle if someone would build one for my royal self. Of course, I would want it to be painted pink.

Unleashed

Dear world,
We went to a nice new pet store the other day. While we were there, Annie kept asking me the same question.  I considered the question and realized that is definitely something that my brother Bear would have asked. So I guess we should pose the question to Petco. Why do we need to have our leashes on if the store is called unleashed?

A new pusher

Dear world,
I love when my family from Chicago comes to visit. My little niece Charlotte is just as obsessed with pushing strollers as I am with riding in it. So it worked out so well that I got to be strolled every evening while she was here.  I wish she would live here all the time. I could use an extra pusher.

Human Retriever

Dear world,
My family from Chicago is visiting this week. The other day, all three kids wanted to play ball with me. While the older kids, Caroline and Drew wanted to throw the ball for me, Charlotte wanted to throw the ball for herself and fetch with me! I guess maybe she is a golden human retriever.

Clothes shopping

Dear world,
The other day we went shopping at Petsmart . There was a great apparel sale so Mommy said I could pick out something for myself and Annie. I found the most fab hot pink sparkly tutu for myself. And I chose a perfect t-shirt for Annie. Don't you think I am just such a great stylist ?

The Resemblance

Last weekend when Bunnybell was here, we all went on a VERY long walk together.  Then we all got into the car to go back to my house.  And it was at that very moment that I saw the resemblance showing we are related.  We all have my Mommy’s smile. But of course, I have the pinkest tongue.
