The Dogs of 9/11

Today is the anniversary of 9/11. It is a day to honor all those lost and recognize all that worked tirelessly during and in the aftermath.  As canines, we want to give special recognition to the dogs of 9/11.  So I thought a perfect way to remember those pups, was to read Ron Burns book A Tribute to the Dogs of 9/11 with beautiful paintings and stories about some of those special dogs. Thank you to all the dogs and their handlers for being there when humankind so desperately needed you.

  1. That looks like such a great tribute book, Rosy. Mom says anybody who was alive then will never forget where they were when they heard this was happening. It's such a sad day in the history of our country. It's nice to pay homage to the great heroes that immediately put themselves in harms way without thought for their own safety to help those who needed the help. Dogs and humans both. I'm glad you are teaching Annie about that day, Rosy.

  3. Thank you Rosy and Annie for this beautiful blog. Saw Bretagne on the news receiving a hero's welcome upon her return to New York. She was there to celebrate her 16th birthday. With this being such a sad day, Bretagne's story was a bright spot in it all.

  4. So glad, Rosy, you and Annie paid tribute to Bretagne.
That's just one of the reasons I keep following you guys -- and I am just a PASHA - otherwise known as a ruler who sits on silk cushions and surveys his harem; okay, so: I am a CAT.
You say, you like the Chargers... I heard of them when I lived in San Diego...just what is it they do?
