National Checkers Day

For National Checkers Day, I thought it would be a good idea to teach Annie how to play. Even though she was not able to beat me, Annie did really well at Checkers. So I thought I would teach her Chess.

That didn't go over so well. I think I will take that slow. Luckily National Chess Day is still a few weeks away.

  1. Rosy how do you find out about all the special days? That's great you are giving Annie such a wonderful education. Chess is a lot harder than checkers, so taking it slow is a good idea. I'm sure you are a fab teacher!

  3. Annie is smiling with glee after she won the checkers game, Rosy. The chess game will take some extra effort taking more time, patience and lots of practice. Once Annie has it down though, I think she'll love the game. It will build her self-confidence! xo
