Inauguration Day
Today our 45th President is sworn into office. President Donald J. Trump. I am proud to be an American poodle with an American Cocker Spaniel. So I hope that my country can move forward and together look to the future with optimism not pessimism. Maybe it would help if the Trumps got a first dog, from a shelter of course.
Rosy what a great idea for them to get a Shelter dog all the former Presidents had dog in the White House, I think if "The Donald" was shown petting a dog it might help his image...Happy #FuzzFriday to you both. Woof Whistles, Bosco & Lulu

DeleteYep. It's a very big day! We wish it hadn't rained 'cause nobody likes to get their feet wet and they were walking a long way.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that President Kennedy had a black poodle named Gaullie and a black & white parti-cocker named Shannon? And President Nixon had a poodle, too, named Vicky (she was white).
There were also two golden retrievers just like Bear & Fuzz!! President Reagan had Victory and President Ford had Liberty, both very regal names. OurGirl says Barron Trump might get a Goldendoodle puppy from a lady in Florida. That would be so much fun! Every boy should have a dog!

Yes!! Bear read his book to me about First Pets ! He blogged about it ... http://lovealwaysbear.blogspot.com/2010/10/hail-to-chief-dog.html . I need to look for that book and read it with Annie! I really hope if its not a shelter dog they get a rescue pup! RosyPoodleKisses x13 !
DeleteWe have the book that Millie Bush wrote...well, she dictated it to her mom. It gives a good idea of what presidential dogs do all day long and how they help run the government. There's also a book by C. Fred Bush. He was a cocker the same color as your dog, Annie!
DeleteWe think a Heinz 57 rescue dog would be a perfect pet since they're a little bit of everything. Our PupPal, Laurence, was a mix of Wheaten Terrier, Bearded Collie and a tiny bit Poodle! His ears had curly black fur on the edges.
