Celebrating Bear

Dear world,
Today is our brother Bear's birthday. He would have been 13. So in perfect Bear fashion, we went to Bear's fave park looking over his fave beach and celebrated with his fave food. We are sure he is having a pizza party at the Rainbow Bridge Beach with Fuzz and all his friends. We miss him so much and think of him often, and he still always brings a smile to our face.

Cocker Spaniel Meet-Up II

Dear world,
A couple of weeks ago, I went with Annie to a Cocker Spaniel Meet-up. Annie loved meeting up with her kin. It was so much fun, even for me, a poodle! There are so many Cockers that need forever homes. Five of them (pictured) were at the meet-up. Mommy said we couldn't, but I wished we could have taken them home with us, more Cockers for me to rule.

Today is Remember Me Thursday. Everyone around the world is encouraged to light a candle today. The candles honor the millions of pets who lose their lives without finding a forever home and shine a light on the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption. There are all different orphan dogs and cats and other animals that need a loving home. Both of us were lucky enough to be adopted. National Checkers Day

For National Checkers Day, I thought it would be a good idea to teach Annie how to play. Even though she was not able to beat me, Annie did really well at Checkers. So I thought I would teach her Chess.

Miniature Golf Day

For Miniature Golf Day today, I thought I would introduce Annie to the game.  It was a challenge for her. First, she kept on knocking the ball with her nose, not understanding the need for a club. Then she kept trying to fetch my ball as it rolled toward the hole. I am not confident that she will learn to play golf, she is too much of a dog.

Dear world,
Did you ever watch  I Dream of Jeannie? Well, it has been 50 years on this date since it first aired! So I thought I would try to feel what it was like to be a beautiful genie . Well, the outfit fits perfect and its nice that a handsome astronaut is dreaming about me. Big down side is that I would have to reside in a bottle. I'll stick with being a spoiled Poodle sleeping in a king size bed at home.

Sugar's visit

Dear world,

We got to see Sugar again, this time she came to visit us at our house. I kept trying to get Sugar’s attention, but she and Annie were focused on lunch being served.  Then I totally gave up when Sugar decided to jump in the pool after the ball.  As Bear’s sister I totally understand I can never compete for a Golden’s attention against a tennis ball.

Collect Rocks Day

In preparation for Collect Rocks Day, I went to the basket of rocks that Bear collected from the beach. I picked out all the pretty white ones and gave all the others to Annie. I told her that now we each have our own rock collection. Annie is not sure what to do with hers. I think I will paint my rocks pink.
