On this date, Patriots Day, the 16th anniversary of horrible September 11th, we always think about and honor those that were lost. We also like to recognize all of those that were there to help during and afterward. So every year I read to Annie the book A Tribute to The Dogs of 9/11 by Ron Burns. It is a beautiful tribute book with his paintings and stories about some of the fab hero dogs of 9/11. This book is a must read, especially today.

It's Mommy's birthday!. So of course we have to throw a party! My human sister Sydne sent Mommy's fave - Lou Malnati's pizza and I chose the decor. (Annie's job is to look adorable). I can't wait for the party to begin and see Mommy in her birthday girl tiara!

We were not around on September 11,2001. But we are very aware and always recognize the date's importance. We mourn for those that lost their lives and honor all the service people and dogs who worked tirelessly on that day and in the aftermath. We are proud of NYC and the US for building a new World Trade Center that shines in the sky with remembrance and hope.

The movie Mary Poppins was released 52 years ago today (1964 if you dont want to do the math), I just love Mary Poppins so I watched the movie again. I was so inspired. I went over to Annie when she was about to get her medicine and barked the melody 'Just a Spoon Full of Sugar helps the medicine go down'. Annie barked that she is not allowed to have any sugar. So thinking like Mary, since I wanted to say something but had nothing to say I barked 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'!
