Another Pool Day

Mom had one of her brilliant ideas. She thought maybe Teddy and I would like swimming better if we had life jackets.

I decided to ignore my new attire and be a pool jock. So Dad threw me a. ball.

I caught every single  ball Dad threw !
Then when Mom  kept pushing me in, I had confidence swimming in my new jacket so I even grabbed a ball !
Teddy on the other paw, still was not happy to swim even with his jacket.

So Teddy just relaxed with Dad.

First Swim

After the Bunnybell pool debacle, Mom decided it was time for Teddy to go in the pool. He asked Dad if he had to, and Dad said he needed to learn how to swim out.

Teddy was not real eager but took a step in once Mom started offering cookie bribes.

Then when cookie bribes did not work further than one step, Mom just pulled him in.

Teddy swam a little bit but not as a happy swimmer.

Then Mom showed him the way out of the pool.

I immediately went over to tell him what a great job he did.

Then the cookie bribes came out again. I had a feeling it was my turn, so I grabbed the cookie.

And in I went.

And out I went !

Then Teddy and I decided we were done with the pool and being wet.  Mom is already planning our next pool practice. We hope it's not soon.

AquaDog

Mommy thought for Annie's arthritis it would be good for her to swim more. But Annie is not a great swimmer. So someone suggested  a floatation vest. Well, if you know Mommy, she was at Petco that day! Once she got home Annie became AquaDog!

OMP! Remember the noisy floppy silly swimmer like this ?. Click for video

What a difference the vest makes! Annie was totally smooth and gliding quickly in the water!  Click for video. So you may think she enjoys being AquaDog.

But , not so much.

Wet Poodle

Once the family visit was over, I decided I would take a swim.

While I tried to keep my head dry, I ended up getting wet.

I dried au natural, hoping that my poodle princess look would return. But to my dismay I ended up looking like a dog!
I refused to go outside in public looking like this. I would have to wait until my salon appointment. Then I had an idea.

My pink kerchief was a perfect solution. Don't you think?

Poolside

Since we were spending Father's Day by the pool, I encouraged Annie and Bunnybell to practice their swinmming. I went first to demonstrate Princess form. (Click for Video)
Then Bunnybell did very well and definitely got our votes for most compelling eyes. (Click for video)
And then Annie swam and as usual got the prize for most noisy and silly swimmer. (Click for video)
Then it was time for some pool kisses from my sis Sydne and cuddles with Daddy.
And finally, an after bath nap.
What a fab Father's Day!

Swimming Lessons

Dear world,
Annie has been coming along very well with her Princess School Swimming Lessons. She has learned to look more graceful by keeping her head up and toning down her paw splashes. I think the confidence building lessons have also made a big difference. Now she just needs to have a more Princess like finish instead of shaking and splashing all over the place once out of the pool.

Rosy
