Flag Day

I told Annie that we need to get ready to celebrate Flag Day! So I gave her a history lesson. The first American flag with 13 stars and 13 stripes became official on June 14th, 1777.  Since then, there have been 27 different flags! Today's flag with 50 stars became our national emblem in 1960. Annie thought that was all very interesting. But she did have a question. "What kind of food is served on Flag Day?"
Happy Flag Day!

  2. Happy Flag Day Rosy and Annie! What great lessons you are teaching, Rosy! As for food, hmm, maybe we celebrate food from a different state each flag day. It'd take 50 years to get through them all, then we start over again!

    1. What a fab idea Tikka! Annie wants to change it a bit. She doesnt see any reason why we can't sample food from all 50 states in one day ! RosyPoodleKisses!

  3. Rosy, it has become obvious to me, that I need to keep up with you and Annie to keep informed about all these special days. Whether it's to honor or celebrate, or both, you girls are the ones "in the know"! xo
