Defenders of Wildlife

Dear world,

Our fave Christmas presents were adopted Bears from Defenders of Wildlife in memory of Bear. I got a Grizzly (since I am a Memphis Grizzlies fan), Bunnybell got a Panda Bear for color coordination and Annie got a Polar Bear since it is creamy white like her.  But Annie immediately ate the Polar Bear’s eye, and then the Panda’s nose. I tried to explain that the point  is to save the animals, not eat them!

  1. Oh Annie! Those bears were very special & adopted in memory of your brother Bear. Were you still in the Christmas spirit thinking those were treats to be eaten? So many goodies for Christmas, maybe you got confused. You might suggest to Mom that you'll sew the eye & nose back on, or at least give it a try. Glad you didn't go for Rosy's grizzly. There might have been an issue.

  2. he he - Anne, it would be nice if you'd give the Bear his eye back or get a new one for him. All your adopted bears are so cute - just like you.

    1. Thanks so much Mario. I think the Polar Bear will just have to make do with one eye and the Panda will need to use its other senses to get by! BearHUG & RosyPoodleKisses!

  3. I'm just glad the organizations sent Annie a replica and not the real animal.

  4. I have a feeling if Annie tried to eat the real bears, she might have ended up being lunch herself! I always attack new toys too. Sometimes I'm not gentle enough. It's great you guys adopted Bears in memory of my pal Bear. I'm sure he's looking down smiling, and I'll bet he's forgiving Annie, as well.

    1. Yes. Bear would have been happy with the adoptions. He loved Bears. and he was used to Annie eating her toys. That is why we established which ones were ours immediately! BearHUG & RosyPoodleKisses!

  5. You girls make me laugh. Rosy, it looks like you're giving Annie "what for" while Annie's being cool saying, "Don't blame me", & Bunny's pretending she didn't see a thing! So cute.

    1. I think Bunnybell made a deal with Annie - her Panda's nose for a treat. I wasnt in on it! BearHUG & RosyPoodleKisses!

  6. Annie was just being a good sisfur. She removed the eyes and nose so no one would choke on them ! I always remove the eyes first too, under supervision of course !

    1. That is very interesting. But she is the only one that eats them, so maybe she was protecting herself? BearHUG & RosyPoodleKisses!

  7. What a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do! Well, not the "Annie eating the Polar Bear's eye" part, but adopting the bears....in memory of a very special Bear. Brings a tear to my eye! BTW Annie, don't try that on a real Polar Bear.....you might end up being lunch! xoxo
