Happy Thanksgiving

Dear world,
Today is Thanksgiving. So Annie and I took time to think about our ancestors that may have celebrated the first Thanksgiving. We decided they were probably pilgrims. Annie’s was cute and pretty, mine was elegant and fab. They were probably great cooks preparing an amazing meal (those genes did not reach our generation. Annie and I have guest genes.)
Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate!

On the rocks

Dear world.
And yet another beautiful vacation day. This time in Pacific Grove. First, we went to a beach and saw a ton of rocks with birds all over them.  Then we strolled along the ocean path and saw more rocks, but when we looked closely, many of the rocks were covered with Harbor Seals! After awhile Annie decided to imitate the seals and take a nap around the rocks!

Monterey

Dear world,
Next on our itinerary was a visit to Monterey.  We walked (actually I was in my stroller) along the harbor.  We ate lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf while watching and listening to the barking seals. (Annie thought they were weird looking dogs). Then we took the beautiful famous 17 mile drive at sunset. What a nice long day. I love my vacation.

Carmel Canine Cuisine

Dear world,
Today we visited the town of Carmel. After shopping a bit, we decided to have lunch. So we chose a place that we all could enjoy - The Forge in the Forest. Mommy and Daddy selected off of their menu. After perusing the Canine Cuisine Menu, Annie and I decided to split The Quarter Hounder and The Diggity Dog. Our meal was just fab.  I just love Carmel !

Royal treatment

Dear world,
After a long day of driving, we finally got to our hotel. When we arrived in our room, we were welcomed with comfy dog beds and dog bowls by the warm fire. While Annie was impressed with the royal treatment, I reminded her that I am a princess, so they were ready for my arrival. Only disappointment was my bed isn't pink.

Packing our bag

Dear world,
We are going on a road trip vacation.  Mommy gave Annie and I the most beautiful bag to pack our stuff in, but I told Mommy it was too small. She told me we had too much stuff.  So I suggested to Annie she doesn't need to bring dirty tennis balls. Annie suggested to me I don't need to bring my tiaras. Seriously Annie?

Rosy vs. Bunnybell

Dear world,
While my neice Bunnybell was here visiting for a week, it gave me a lot of opportunity to compare Bunnybell to Rosy, the other little black dog in my life… Bunnybell. doesn't boss me around like Rosy. She doesn't hog my Mommy's time like Rosy. And also unlike Rosy, Bunybell lets me have as much room as I want in bed. But,  Bunnybell loves food like me, so she doesn't leave me any of hers like Rosy does.  And, Bunnybell doesn't like to play ball with me like Rosy, and unlike Rosy she doesn't like to take walks with me . But they both love to come to the beach as much as I do. So I guess they are pretty even on pluses and minuses for me. While I love them both, I think  Rosy is the best cause she is my sister. (and she also would add that she wins because she is a princess.)

Shades of Grey

Dear world,
When Annie comes from the groomer, she is a very light cream, almost white. Then as the days go by, her fur proceeds to darken a bit to cream, and light tan. But this month, her fur went from shades of cream to shades of gray ! She probably thinks shades of grey is trendy, but I think it is dirty. Thank goodness we have our spa appointment this week!
